Never, in my Wildest Dreams.....

Did I think the statement, "Wow, you're an awesome phys-ed teacher!" would be directed at me!!! And neither would anyone who knows me, hahaahaha
But today, it happened------
Substituting is kind of like being a grandmother---- to heck with the lesson plans, and let's have fun!! So today we played, duck, duck goose-- dodgeball--- frozen tag-- and the kids had a blast--And I get to be the good guy and hand them back to their parents/teachers for the serious business--
Was feeling pretty good about the day, until Jennah asked,
"Do you think you're still allowed to play those games-- they could be dagnerous?"
I think i'll just savour those words---- once more--
"You're an awesome phys-ed teacher!!"

That's Great! And to think you were dreading teaching Phys Ed the last time you got the call!

I co-ordinate the school's running team up here. I picked it up last year since no one else was taking the project seriously and I loved the opportunity it gave kids to become more healthy. It's ironic since I don't run myself (I prefer a power walk anyday, don't think the knees could handle running!)

Last year was the first year and I had only 6 or 7 committed students. This year there are more like 12-15 regulars, who are having a blast with their training. I was excited today since I received the ankle weights we would be using for some cross training activities. I created a circuit plan of activities and they all had a great time- even if they had tired legs and were dripping with sweat by the end! haha...

Wow, that sounds way more fun than when I had Phy Ed. We had to play volleyball, and I was always the last one picked for a team!! Could be because I always ducked when the ball came near me!!!!

G: Another team you volunteer for? Must be satisfying to see it grow and flourish-- kudos to you!!!

Lizza:Ha, no, I just stood there and gave orders!!

HB and H: Blushing thanks, and hugs!

Funnyface: The only energy I exerted was from my big mouth!!

Tuffysmom: I remember those last picked days, same for me,, so I always choose the teams.

K&S: Everything now is so regulated, running on concrete floors could pose a hazard!
