Jimi and Chris

Days after Chris died, my forever friend RA, whose husband wrote his eulogy, phoned me to share a "dream" she had had that night--- a dream so vivid and overpowering she felt compelled to share it with me---

She saw Chris on a stool, with his guitar, face to face jamming with Jimi Hendrix !!!! Very happy!!

I didn't think too much about it--Chris had never bought or listened to his music, that I was aware of-

Until I went downstairs and opened his top drawer of writings---- on top----scribbled in pen on yellow lined loose leaf, an essay by Chris--"Why I like Jimi Hendrix"
Someday, I'll share it----

I think this was his way, of letting you know he was alright.

Love you.

That's so funny - not long after Max died, he came to me in a dream, all excited and pointing at who was with him. It was our high school chemistry teacher, who we affectionately called Auntie Trudy. She passed away years and years ago, and I hadn't thought of her for almost as long, but in high school, she was very fond of Max, and approved of me as a suitable girlfriend. We loved her! To see that they were both so happy to have "bumped into" each other in the spirit world was hard to describe, but I know that's what they were both telling me, that they were joyful and laughing at their reunion. I thought it was pretty cool, though - it was like he was saying, "Look who I found!" :o)

Very cool... I love when things like that happen. Wouldn't the world be less exciting if there were not visionaries in it like RA...

I am eager to hear what he wrote, I also love Jimi. In junior high, two of my friends, Jesse and Chad Leblanc, started a Jimi fan club called the "Hendricans". I was allowed to be an honourary Female member of the fan club, which included everything from a secret handshake and anthem... oh the good old days, hahahaha!

FF: You're so right-- he always lets me know, somehow-
Mikki: What an amazing story-- and how comforting to know they're okay and still in touch--- of course it was someone you would never have thought of, so that you would be sure it was really him coming through--thanks for sharing that "dream"-
H: I think Chris has found a kindred spirit in you!!
Mandy: I'm so grateful that she had the courage to share it with me so soon---- others may have hesitated or just written it off to imagination---
Hi G: I don't know whether it is so much "visionary" as it is being in touch with our own sixth sense-- Which eventually will become our primary sense!!

Okay, my dear old friend, I do believe that there may be a sign here indicating that perhaps the time is right for sharing some more of Chris' portfolio... I know that people would love to view more of his talented legacy. His humour was a gift and his expression of that gift, priceless. I think it's time that you and I had an HTML date. Let me know when you are ready to expand Chris' website.
